Allan,
On August 24th, You said: " One week of trades using ATR Trailing Stop system. Can you make money trading this? If you can't, you might be in the wrong business"

I followed your link and I am now using the system on Ninja trader with a data feed from Yahoo.

Real easy, very robust, and all free. Testing the signals against the MarketClub triangles. May be giving better entry and exit signals.

Thanks for sharing the information. Dave

Dave,

How long have you been using Ninja Trader? Do you find it user friendly at all? If not, can you recommend any other adequate system trading services?

By the way, if Yahoo is your data provider, can you still ust ATR_Trailingstops intraday? Or do you use it as an end of day tool?

I'm also a NINJATRADER user.

I've been using a TSSUPERTREND indicator to emulate ALLAN's ATR settings. (Available free for Ninja users).

I used photo captions to get close to his settings, however Allan's still seems better :-)

I'd love to hear how other Ninja users are doing at emulating Allan's ATR.

I also use TSSupertrend with ninjatrader for it's likeness to Allan's charts.

Thanks

gwac0,

Thanks for response.

My settings are:
1)ATR
2)7
3)1
4)EMA
5)3
P=CLOSE

Allan's seem slightly more effective naturally :-)

There are other ATR type indicators available but this seemed closest.

How are yours set?

Jeff,
I am using the ATR system indicator, end of day, which was featured in Stocks & Commodities magazine in June '09.

I downloaded the program to NinjaTrader from Traders.com.

The system can be applied to many trading platforms. The programming has already been done by someone really smart.

I needed some help from a friend to get this running. I am sure anyone with basic computer skills and the willingness to work with the support staff at Ninja Trader can accomplish this task.

This is a trend indicator which is tracking another Renko program that I am using. Let's see how effective these indicators work for the next downturn. Dave

Hi Allan,

Like the graphs but would like to see a few more stock recommendations.

You may want to look at BIEL ( Bioelectronics) which applies "PEMF" pulsed electromagnetic fields to relieve pain and to accelerate healing post surgery.Very positive results achieved with world renown physicians.

BIEL has a number of applications already in with the FDA, which if approved could have a huge market as a replacement for extra strength Tylenol which has been related to liver problems.

This Company,I believe is worth investing and doing due diligence.

Best Regards,

Harvey B.

Harvey - Thanks for the heads up. TA looks good on my quick and dirty first glance. But there is another factor here:

Mr. Charles Gregoire de Rothschild , 65
Special Adviser to the Board of Directors

Yes, this is a Bilderberg stock. Look at his public statements about the company. We can't fight them, might as join them.

If by "Biehl" you mean Jessica Biehl, I did her last week.

Good but overrated.
