Hi Allan,

Are your signal prices based on the 60 minute chart? I was reviewing your results and could not match up the closing price for the date base on your signal date.

Allan,

How can I possibly express my thanks?

Congratz and Happy Years!

Enjoy!

Eric:

This is a DAILY MODEL pro forma, not the 60 minute model I have been tracking all week.

Into the close...

HOURLY MODEL

TZA holding it's LONG position into the close, reversal SHORT if under 9.38

DAILY MODEL

Holding SHORT from Dec 4th Sell Signal. Reversal BUY if close above 10.04.

Allan,

Are those results based on each signal generated, or did you apply your filtering technique?

Hi Allan,

Thanks for the response. What I was trying to communicate was that your signal prices don't match the closing price for that day. For example, your December 4th sell signal is listed at 11.46. The closing price for TZA on that day was 11.10. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Eric

Jeff:

Those are plain vanilla trades, no filters, just an assumption that the trigger price was available before the close (see answer to Eric below). I have employed a Weekly filter whereby you only take Daily trades in the direction of the Weekly trade signal, but the results were too good, no one would believe me. Tough room, eh?

Eric:

The listed prices are the "pivots" where the trade is triggered based on the opening range of the day, not on the closing price for the trade day.

If you decide to run the table yourself with those closing prices, feel free to post your results. I might do it, or might not, depending on how much other homework I get done this weekend.

BOTTOM LINE

Holy Smoke!

Any possibility you can post a chart displaying those 09 trades so I can drool over what I missed while I wait for my wife to get ready?

Looks like a good system. This is exactly what I need to trade a retirement account (no margin, no trading during the day). I would be interested to see the updated spreadsheet per your response to Eric. I might do the same myself and send it to you if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Have you thought about how much you would charge to be privledged to these trade signals?

I know you mentioned Twitter updates or an iPhone app. Have you ever looked at www.collective2.com. I am in no way associated with them, but I have followed a few trading systems they have. You can send real time updates via email and collect payments. May be useful. I guess there are other websites that are similar.

Mulling that over this weekend, will have a final decision soon. What I know for sure is that right out of the gate it will be inexpensive. I want to accommodate everyone.

Two or three months down the line, with a successful real-time-real-money track record and after adding some additional trading perks, the cost will grow to be commensurate with the results being realized.

Nonetheless, everyone who is with me from the beginning will be grandfathered into their original cost basis. What I have in mind is significantly lower then anything anyone has suggested here so far. If I have to drag all of you into a successful and profitable trading system, so be it.

When all is said and done, there will be no excuses for any of you not having a exemplary 2010.

I updated your spreadsheet with the indicated day's closing price. If you are interested I would like to send it to you so you can post it. Where should I send it?

Allan I wonder though if the market goes flat for the next 6 months will this system get whipsawed?

I am interested in the end of day trading signals.
