Again, for the first time

I knew this song was special when I first heard it, lying in my bed on Roselawn, Northwest Detroit, circa 1966, listening to WBZ in Boston, which I could only receive on my transistor radio late at night. I listened for weeks, just to hear this song, before it made its way to the local Detroit radio stations.

Fast forward to 2010, when once more the sentiment reaches deep, touching my life again, for the first time.

Can't say that I remember "woo woo", just remember first palpitations of love in a young heart, not all that much different then the palpitations stirring in a not-so-young heart. Maybe the best song of our generation.

Saw these guys in San Diego in 1968.

In Search of the Lost Chord was a spiritual awakening. Didn't know music could sound like that. I was in the Air Force then and drove over from Pheonix to see them.
