WSSI, again

As I write Thursday at 1:40PM ET, WSSI has popped from 10.20 to 10.65 in past 15 minutes. Although I sold 2/3 of my postion yesterday, I hung on to just enough to post today without regret. That's a gain of about 7% from my original entry. As far as what to do with remaining shares, I haven't a clue. Will probably hold on until it becomes a home run, or slides back under $10.00.

For what's worth: I held from my 9.97 buy yesterday and sold for 5% gain this afternoon.

Thank you Allan, thank you Sally.

Tobin Smith I think has a good basis for DD, leading edge companies who have revolutionary products. Here's the nuggets from an Alert this morning of an interesting sounding long term investment:

- And the company I’m recommending to you today – one of the leaders in Light-Emitting Diode technology, or LEDs, is going to make in-the-know investors very, very rich.

This firm’s earnings came in under estimates, because of a build-up of cell phone inventory in China and India. Demand for mobile products – for which this company supplies LEDs to back-light screens – is down a bit.

* $188 million in free cash flow for the past 12 months, with a $1.3 billion market cap today
* $250 million in cash and NO debt
* Priced at less than 10 times cash flow

This company is not just the leading innovator in white-light LEDs, but a major intellectual property owner, as well. They’re going to reap big profits every time someone else uses their technology.

What’s more, the forecast replacement cycle – especially replacing fluorescent lighting – is just upon us.

The lower power consumption (one-tenth that of fluorescent lights) and longer life-span (as much as 10 times as long, in some cases) makes white LEDs a "no-brainer" purchase once the price becomes competitive.

curt -- the company described in your post sounds like CREE. It's in the business and according to Yahoo Finance, has $250MM in cash and no debt. Which of Tobin Smith's services was recommending it?

Hi Allen -

The summer has not been to friendly to the birdflu basket. Are you still long or have you trimmed your positions.

Thanks. Konrad.

Hi Allan,do you ever worry that your main day trading method will stop working?

No, not really. My only worry is that it will not keep pace with my appetite for wealth. So far, neck and neck.

A little trimming here and there, as I have allocated a fixed percentage to bird flu plays and as one gets added, I trim others rather then chance taking one off completely that ultimately turns out to be THE one.
