Stansberry, again

Here's another one, haven't had time to identify the stock yet, so it's wide open for you folks.

I did a Google search on water based drill bit fluids. Two companies seem to be state-of-the-art in this field, Baker-Hughes (BHI) and Newpark Resources (NR).

BHI has a $26B market cap.

NR has a $535MM market cap.

NR it is.

Hey Allan,

I fact checked NR's history of insider buys against the claims made by the Stansberry piece you posted. Here's what I found:

1. NR has had two directors buy some 80,000 shares for $653 since May of 2005.

2. NR had one director and the CFO SELL some $463 worth of shares. Of all the i-buys, the CFO's sales were the most recent.

Jon, you and I are on the same page here, as I also was unable to verify the Insider buying claims....but the play here isn't insider-buying, it's how effective Stansberry is in getting the story out. We've seen some effective pumping in the past, so it's worth a shot here.

I figured that's what your thinking was. Just thought I'd share what I'd found out.

How do these newsletter plays usually work? Is there some kind of "unveiling" -- a press release or something -- that triggers a wider spike or does or is it more of gradual thing as people read the newsletter?

As always, thx for your insights.
